Get to Know the Person Behind Your Hair: Consultations bridge that gap, allowing you to connect, understand, and build rapport with your stylist. It's more than hair – it's about trust and understanding. This is also the chance to get a feel out for the environment youll be in. Not all stylist are the same.
Voice Your Hesitations Without Hesitation: I hear it all the time, IM SCARED! You only fear what you don't know. Consultations are your green light to ask questions, voice your hesitations, and communicate your desires openly. It's your time to get clarity on your choices. You don't have to be ready immediately to get Loc's but a consultation will let you know if this is even something you are ready to pursue. Most of the time when a person says they're scared and i ask why, they don't really have an answer. No one wants to go through the rough stages in the beginning IYKYK. The thing people dont want to admit is they are scared of how they will look NATURALLY, no WIGS No braids nothing to hide behind. Im on my 3rd set of loc's so i get it. It's all understandable however, most times clients end up saying 'It wasan't that bad. Another common thing being said is They let people get in their head and talk them away form starting because they have pretty hair, as if loc's will ruin it.
For The Stylist: Having a conversation with your client gives them security, it allows you to know the head space someone is currently in. Make sure your ok with servicing a client. Some clients can be difficult and you can avoid possible problems in the future. You might have to become their cheerleader and encourage them along the way. Some clients want you to start them so they can maintain them. Its Basically an interview lol

Remember, consultations aren't just about the hair – they're about you.
